[12:40 PM] Mac Observer [email protected] Team Passes Yahoo! Seti Team In Club Rankings
by Staff
We don't want to brag (well, actually we do want to brag), but we are proud to announce that our [email protected] team, Team Mac Observer, has passed the Yahoo! Seti Club Team in the Top 100 Club Team standings. Team Mac Observer is now ranked as the #18 Club Team out of the more than 1 3/4 million people who have joined the project. Thanks to all the Team members who have helped us do this. We are only 26 work units ahead of the Yahoo! team, so we could use some more help in putting those portal minions in their place! If you need more information on [email protected], read all about it.
Our membership stands at 405 members, and the Team has contributed more than 168 CPU years to [email protected] An impressive figure that still pales in comparrision to the more than 200,000 CPU years contributed by everyone participating in the project around the world. The [email protected] effort has been singularly successful by almost any measure.
We have also performed a long awaited update to our Roster, the Top 10 most completed units, and the Top 10 fastest members. In addition, we have changed the way we list the other Mac sites who have joined Team Mac Observer. MacBC, Low End Mac, and Applelinks are now shown at the top of each of the Team pages. We are proud that they have chosen to join us in our quest to work on this science project and show the world just how fast Macs are at crunching numbers.
This also allows us to show the company members who have joined the Team a little better. If you would like your site or company logo to be shown, all you have to do is sign up two or more computers to the Team. We have all the information you might need to do this.
If you want to join Team Mac Observer as an individual, we have all the easy instruction for you as well.
Lastly, as we mentioned earlier today, the [email protected] client has been updated to version 2.0.2.We ask all Team members to download the latest update.
