Anthropic has refreshed the homepage of its AI assistant, Claude, with a message that draws a clear line between its product and rivals. The update follows a string of public jabs aimed at OpenAI and keeps the focus on one promise: no ads.

The page now opens with a short introduction that sets the tone. “Hey there, I’m Claude. I’m your AI assistant for working, imagining, and deep thinking.” Below it, Anthropic lists what it says makes Claude different. Users can ask anything, rely on safety guardrails, and chat without ads. The company adds, “I won’t show you ads. My focus is being genuinely helpful to you.”

The timing matters. The update landed days after Anthropic released ads that mock the idea of advertising inside AI chats. One spot shows a fitness question turning into a sales pitch, a joke aimed at where the industry might head.

In a post, an X user shared a screenshot of the new homepage and wrote, “Anthropic won’t stop cooking OpenAI. They just put ‘ad-free chats’ on the welcome screen.”

That same theme ran through Anthropic’s Super Bowl debut. The ad ends with a blunt line: “Ads are coming to AI, but not to Claude.”

The message reads as a direct contrast to OpenAI, led by Sam Altman, and a clear signal of how Anthropic wants Claude to stand apart.
