The popular workout companion SmartGym just released a major update that gives users even more control over their daily fitness routines. This latest version introduces several practical improvements aimed at creating a highly customizable training experience. From new AI-powered stretch suggestions to a completely revamped interface, the App Store application is doubling down on flexibility for people who want highly tailored exercise plans without any extra work.
There are now smarter routines and stretches
The app now uses its built-in Smart Trainer to recommend specific warm-up and cool-down stretches based on the exact muscle groups targeted in your workout. You can set the duration for these segments and decide if they should count toward your overall recovery analysis.

The update also lets you organize exercise sets into distinct sections like warm-up, main workout, and cool-down. This structural change makes it much easier to edit long workouts because you can add or remove segments independently.
Training load and interface updates are also included
Another helpful addition is the new Workout Effort feature. This tool allows you to log the training load of your sessions, helping you track how individual workouts affect your overall recovery picture. The developers also refreshed the Routine View layout. The typography, animations, and alerts have been updated to make the screen easier to read while exercising.
Additionally, a new draft feature automatically saves unfinished routines so you can pick them up right where you left off. If you use the same exercise across multiple plans, you now have the option to update it universally or just within a single routine.
