Apple has not launched its annual Back to School offer in the United States and Canada yet, even though the promotion usually begins in June. Since it is already July, many students and educators are waiting to see when the company will announce this year’s education deal.
Apple started the promotion in June every year from 2020 through 2025, but it followed a July schedule between 2017 and 2019. Given that history, there is still a chance the 2026 offer will arrive within the next few days.
Previous launch dates include:
- 2025: June 17
- 2024: June 20
- 2023: June 5
- 2022: June 24
- 2021: June 17
- 2020: June 15
- 2019: July 9
- 2018: July 12
- 2017: July 12
Last year, eligible college students and education staff received a free accessory, such as AirPods 4 or an Apple Pencil Pro, with the purchase of selected Mac and iPad models. Apple has not revealed what it plans to include this year, especially after increasing prices across its Mac and iPad lineup last month.
Apple planned to launch the 2026 Back to School offer last week. However, that did not happen, and Apple has not shared an official explanation. Some believe the company delayed the promotion to give customers more time after the recent price increases, although Apple has not confirmed that.
Students should also remember that Apple now requires UNiDAYS verification to access education pricing in the United States and Canada. Anyone planning to shop through the Education Store should complete the verification process before the promotion begins.
