Apple is widening access to buy now pay later options inside Apple Pay, and Klarna now joins the list for more users across Europe. You can now use Klarna when you pay with Apple Pay in Denmark, Spain, and Sweden. France will join the list soon, and the rollout gives iPhone and iPad users more flexible ways to manage purchases.
This move builds on Klarna’s earlier availability in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Apple discontinued Apple Pay Later last year, and instead, Apple shifted to third-party partners like Klarna, Affirm, and Synchrony. These names now appear during checkout, and each country supports a different set of providers.
How the new payment flow works
When you check out online or in an app using Apple Pay, you can tap Other Cards and Pay Later Options to see available installment plans. This section shows Klarna and other partners where supported. Starting with iOS 26, Apple also brings these financing options to in-store Apple Pay payments, giving you the same flexibility at physical terminals.
This change streamlines the experience and makes it easier for you to choose how you want to pay. It also ensures that the same pay later tools work across websites, apps, and now in-store purchases.
