Apple has released iPadOS 27 public beta 3 for compatible iPads, giving public beta testers a newer and more stable build ahead of the final release. The update includes more Siri AI refinements, redesigned app icons, new Search controls, and the broader performance improvements Apple has built into its latest software.
The third public beta uses the same build as iPadOS 27 developer beta 5, so users are getting the latest changes that developers received earlier this week.

How to update
If your iPad is already enrolled in Apple’s public beta program, you can install the update directly from Settings.
- Open the Settings app on your iPad.
- Tap General.
- Select Software Update.
- Make sure iPadOS 27 Public Beta is selected under Beta Updates.
- Tap Update Now when public beta 3 appears.
- Keep your iPad connected to Wi-Fi and power while the update installs.
It is also a good idea to back up important files before installing beta software, since test builds can still contain bugs and battery or app compatibility issues.
