Apple released the first iOS 26.2 Release Candidate earlier this week. Now a second RC build is rolling out to testers with a new near-final build that prepares the update for its public release later this month.
This version focuses on polishing the new design changes in iOS 26 and fixing last-minute issues. If your iPhone already has the beta profile installed, you can find RC 2 in the Software Update menu.
How to install iOS 26.2 RC 2
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap General and open Software Update.
- Check that Beta Updates is set correctly.
- Tap Download and Install to start the update.
iOS 26.2 general changes
iOS 26.2 adds a Liquid Glass slider on the Lock Screen so you can adjust the clock’s transparency. It also enables AirPods Live Translation support in more regions.
The update includes Reminders alarms that act like alerts when tasks are due, along with refreshed layouts in the Podcasts and News apps. CarPlay now lets you turn off pinned Messages conversations for a cleaner view.
