Apple has disclosed what it paid CEO Tim Cook in 2025, along with compensation details for several other top executives. The filing lays out each package, including salary, stock awards, incentive pay, and other benefits.
In total, Cook earned $74,294,811 in 2025. Apple said that the number dipped slightly from the previous year.
Tim Cook’s 2025 compensation breakdown
Cook’s package included a mix of fixed pay, stock, and performance-based awards.

- Non-equity incentive plan compensation: $12,000,000

Apple said the incentive awards were based on “the performance of Apple relative to predetermined financial goals for the year.”

Apple broke out what it included in Cook’s “all other compensation” category. It listed retirement-related contributions, insurance, vacation cash-out, security, and personal travel on company aircraft.
Apple said the total includes:
- Apple’s 401(k) contributions of $21,000
- Term life insurance premiums of $2,964
- Vacation cash-out of $57,692
- Security expenses of $887,870
- Personal air travel expenses of $789,991
Apple added: “For security and efficiency reasons, the Board requires Mr. Cook to use private aircraft for all business and personal travel.”
Cook has also spoken publicly about his long-term plans for his wealth. He said in 2015 that he plans to give it away during his lifetime, after helping fund his nephew’s college education. He said he plans to “develop a systematic approach to philanthropy rather than simply writing checks.”
