The new head of Apple is giving its workers something to celebrate this holiday season. Chief executive John Ternus recently told US staff that the company will give them the entire Thanksgiving week off to rest. The decision keeps a popular tradition going as the tech brand moves through a major leadership change. Workers will get a much-needed long break to recharge with family and friends.
Ternus maintains a popular holiday tradition for corporate office workers
The break will run from Monday, November 23 through Friday, November 27. In a recent company memo, the new chief noted the hard work that went into recent hardware launches. He pointed out big releases like the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the upcoming iPhone Duo as reasons to celebrate.
This move shows that the company wants to keep morale high after Tim Cook stepped down to become executive chairman in September. The week off is actually a long-running perk. It started years ago when Steve Jobs led the firm. Many people wondered if a new boss would cut back on these benefits, but the company is sticking to its established roots.

Not everyone gets the same week off right now. Retail and support teams who work with customers during the busy Black Friday shopping rush will get their three extra days of paid time off later in the year. International teams will also get extra time off on different dates, since Thanksgiving is a holiday native to the United States.

In recognition of your contributions, most US teams will get the Monday through Wednesday before Thanksgiving off.
