Apple will take part in the Game Developers Conference 2026 in San Francisco with three official presentations scheduled for March 11. The sessions focus on Appleās gaming technology, the arrival of major titles on Mac, and strategies for game developers who publish on the App Store.
The event is part of the GDC Festival of Gaming, where companies share tools, technology, and production insights with developers. Apple plans to run three lectures that highlight both its hardware capabilities and its software ecosystem for games.
Appleās Sessions at GDC 2026
The first session, āBuilt for Games: Explore Apple Hardware and Software for Game Developers,ā will run from 10:10 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. in Room 3014 at the West Hall. Speakers include Allan Schaffer, Alexey Vinogradov, and Rich Forster from Apple. They will explain how developers use Apple hardware and frameworks such as Metal to build and optimize games.
The second session, āBringing Cyberpunk 2077 to Mac,ā will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Speakers include Oleg Shatulo and Pawel Sasko from CD PROJEKT RED, along with Appleās Charlyn Keating. The talk will discuss the technical process behind bringing the major AAA title to the Mac platform.
The third lecture, āMaximize Your Gameās Potential on the App Store,ā will run from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Appleās Abhishek Radhakrishnan and Kelli King will join Nadia Thorne from Black Salt Games to discuss discovery, marketing, and growth strategies for developers.
Apple has expanded its gaming focus in recent updates. The company launched a dedicated Games app in iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe, and more AAA titles are set to arrive on Mac, including a major release planned for launch day later this year.
