Apple is widening the reach of its Fitness+ service. The company says the digital workout platform will roll out to 28 new markets on December 15, marking one of its largest expansions so far. The move more than doubles the service’s global footprint and brings guided workouts to millions of new users.
The rollout begins next week for most regions. However, Japan’s launch will arrive in early 2026. Apple says this staggered release helps the company prepare localized features that match each market.
Apple explains that generative AI now plays a direct role in the expansion. The service is adding digital dubbing for workouts and meditations, which helps users follow along in their preferred language with ease.
New Language Support
Apple says it is introducing dubbed versions in Spanish and German next week, with Japanese to follow in early 2026. Each dubbed session uses a generated voice modeled on the actual trainers. Users can switch languages in the audio controller or set a default in the Fitness app.
“Through its integration across Apple devices, Fitness+ has helped inspire users to live a healthier day,” said Jay Blahnik, vice president of Fitness Technologies.
As part of the update, Fitness+ is also adding K-Pop as a new music genre for workouts. Apple says this change gives users more ways to match workouts with their preferred sound.
Countries Getting Fitness+
The service already operates in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, the UK, the U.S., and several other countries. Starting December 15, it will reach Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Finland, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Taiwan, and many more. Japan will join early next year.
The announcement arrives shortly after a report claimed Apple is reviewing the long-term direction of Fitness+ following internal leadership changes.
