Phone buyers waiting for a major hardware update are about to get a lot of choices. A well-known tipster just shared some major details about what Apple has planned for its smartphone lineup next year. According to the leak, it is preparing to drop six different models throughout the calendar year. This aggressive strategy would mark the biggest release schedule the company has ever attempted in a single twelve-month window.

The company splits its massive phone release into two separate events

Based on details from a tipster known as Digital Chat Station, the tech giant will kick things off early. The leak notes we should expect three new phones by March. This spring release wave includes the iPhone 18 with a 6.3-inch 120Hz display, a larger iPhone Air 2 with a 6.55-inch screen, and a cheaper entry-level option.

That budget model is expected to be the iPhone 18e featuring a 6.12-inch screen. It will likely stick to a standard 60Hz display to keep the final price low, though it could finally adopt the modern Dynamic Island cutout. Releasing these models early allows the brand to refresh its basic devices without crowding its premium hardware later in the year.

The fall lineup brings a special design and brand-new categories

The second half of the year focuses on entirely different hardware. When September arrives, the leak claims the company will reveal its top-tier devices, including the highly anticipated iPhone Ultra model. The standard Pro lineup is also expected to receive a major physical update to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the original launch.

Alongside these premium phones, the tipster mentions a completely new shape. The company is reportedly testing molds for an iPhone Fold device. While a folding screen from the brand has been rumored for years, seeing it listed right next to the standard fall lineup suggests the hardware is finally moving closer to production.

With all these screen sizes, price points, and designs on the horizon, next year could bring the most diverse hardware selection we have ever seen from the company. If these leaks hold true, buyers will have plenty of unique options to choose from when it is time to upgrade.
