Lovable has launched its new iOS app, giving iPhone users a way to create web apps through text and voice prompts without sitting at a desktop. The timing matters because Apple has recently pushed back on some vibe-coding apps, but Lovable appears to avoid the same issue by focusing on websites and web apps instead of apps that change their own behavior inside the App Store version.
Apple recently blocked updates to some vibe-coding tools because they violated developer rules around downloading new code or changing app functionality after review. Lovable’s app takes a different route by letting users build and review web-based projects, which keeps the actual generated work outside the host app.
Lovable Brings Vibe Coding to iPhone
The Lovable iOS app lets users start a project with a written prompt or voice command, then continue the same work from a computer later. That makes it useful for founders testing product ideas, designers trying layouts, or users who want to turn a rough idea into a working web app without writing code manually.
Lovable said in its announcement:
“The Lovable mobile app lets you build from anywhere. Start a project on your laptop, pick it up from the couch, and keep iterating from wherever life takes you. Whether you’re a founder prototyping a new concept, a designer testing a layout, or someone who’s never written a line of code — you can turn ideas into real, working web apps straight from your phone.”
That “working web apps straight from your phone” line explains the key difference. Lovable is not promising native iPhone apps inside its own app. It is giving users a mobile entry point for web app creation.
The app supports prompt queues, so users can add multiple ideas through voice or text while Lovable’s agent continues building and testing. It also sends notifications when a build is ready for review, which helps users avoid staring at the screen while the app processes their request.
Lovable is available as a free download on the App Store, with paid plans ranging from $9.99 to $79.99 per month. For iPhone users interested in vibe coding, the bigger story is clear: Apple’s rules still matter, but AI app builders can work on iOS when they respect the line between App Store apps and generated web projects.
