Rumors now point to MacBook Neo 2 using the newer A19 Pro chip alongside 12GB of RAM, which would increase memory capacity by 50 percent. That upgrade would make a noticeable difference for users who keep many browser tabs open, switch between several apps, edit larger files, or want to keep the machine for several years.
More RAM would also help with macOS 27
The move to 12GB would also make MacBook Neo 2 better prepared for macOS 27, especially as Apple adds more AI features that depend on higher memory capacity. Some newer features already need 12GB, so the extra RAM would give the next Neo a stronger position as Apple expands its on-device AI tools.
