- Episodes 1 and 2: August 19
- Episode 3: August 26
- Episode 4: September 2
- Episode 5: September 9
- Episode 6: September 16
- Episode 7: September 23
- Episode 8 (finale): September 30
As of September 14, the first five episodes are streaming, and three remain. Paramount+ has not published a finale synopsis or episode titles for the remaining weeks, and a schedule change would move these dates, so the Paramount+ show page is the best place to confirm each new release.
What season 2 is about
Deon Cole returns as Joe Washington, whose late father’s criminal dealings have put his family in danger. In season 2, Joe heads to Cape Town, South Africa, with his friends Leon, Cathy and Touch to find out who is behind a new threat to his family, and runs into assassins and dangerous secrets along the way.
Cast
Paramount+ confirms that Deon Cole, Malcolm Barrett, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams and Michael Trucco are back for season 2. Katlego Lebogang and Hakeem Kae-Kazim join the cast for the new season.
How to watch Average Joe season 2
Average Joe streams on Paramount+. Paramount says BET+ is no longer a stand-alone service and its titles, including Average Joe, now stream on Paramount+. Season 1 is on the service too if you want to catch up before the finale.
You can watch in a web browser or in the Paramount+ app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android devices, smart TVs and streaming players. A Paramount+ subscription is required.
Catching up before the finale
With five episodes already out, there is time to catch up before September 30. Watching one episode a day would put you level with the weekly release within a week, and the last three episodes arrive on consecutive Wednesdays after that.
Will there be a season 3?
Paramount+ has not announced a third season. Its season 2 guide covers only the current episodes, so any renewal news would need to come from a separate announcement.
Mac Observer’s entertainment coverage will update if Paramount+ changes the schedule or announces what comes next for the show.
