Anthropic is bringing Claude Cowork to the web and mobile, giving paid users more ways to start, track, and finish work across devices. The feature will first launch in beta with a gradual rollout, starting with the Max plan before reaching more paid plans later.
Claude Cowork lets users hand Claude a task and allow it to work across connected apps, including files, calendar, email, messaging tools, and the web. With the move beyond the desktop app, users will be able to begin a task on one device and follow its progress from another.
The biggest change is that Claude Cowork will no longer depend only on the desktop app. A user can start work on a laptop, check updates from a phone, and return later to review the finished output. Scheduled tasks will also run in the background, even when no device remains online.
Anthropic says Claude will still ask for approval when a task needs a human decision. That means users can redirect a draft, approve a next step, or stop a task from moving forward before anything gets sent or finalized.
Once the rollout reaches users, Claude Cowork will appear in the sidebar of the Claude app on iPhone, iPad, Android, and claude.ai. Anthropic is also extending doubled Cowork usage limits through August 5 to support the wider rollout.
Alongside this update, Anthropic is giving paid users a little more time with Claude Fable 5. The model was expected to move to token-based access tomorrow, but it will now remain available across all paid plans through July 12.
