Crunchyroll is now available as an Apple TV Channel, which means you can subscribe and watch anime directly inside the Apple TV app without switching between apps, and this makes the overall viewing experience simpler if you already use Apple’s ecosystem across devices.
Apple TV users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia can now access the Crunchyroll Apple TV Channel, and the service starts with a 7-day free trial before moving to a $9.99 monthly subscription under the Fan plan that unlocks the full anime catalog available in your region.
When you subscribe through the Apple TV app, Apple handles billing and subscription management, and you can stream content directly within the app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV without needing to download or open the Crunchyroll app separately.
You also get standard Apple TV Channels features such as offline downloads, on-demand streaming, and Family Sharing support that allows up to six members in a household to access the subscription, which makes it easier to manage content across multiple users.
Crunchyroll says the Apple TV Channel includes its full catalog of over 50,000 episodes, so you can expect access to a wide range of anime series, movies, and music content based on your region.
Important limitations you should know
The Apple TV Channel subscription works separately from a regular Crunchyroll account, so you cannot link an existing Crunchyroll Premium membership to the Apple TV Channel, and your Apple-based subscription will not give you access on the Crunchyroll website or its standalone app.
At the same time, the Apple TV Channel currently supports only the Fan tier, and features like multiple user profiles are not available within this setup, which means viewing preferences stay tied to a single account.
How to subscribe and manage your plan
You can subscribe by opening the Apple TV app, navigating to Channels, selecting Crunchyroll, and starting the free trial after adding a payment method, and once subscribed, you manage or cancel the plan through the Settings app under your Apple ID subscriptions section.
If you run into billing or account issues, Apple Support handles those requests since the subscription runs through Apple’s system instead of Crunchyroll directly.
Alongside services like Starz, Paramount+, AMC+, and Mubi, Crunchyroll’s addition strengthens Apple TV Channels as a central place to manage streaming subscriptions and watch content without jumping between apps.
Multiple episodes of shows are missing from Apple TV channel but available on the Crunchy Roll app. And their support is useless.
