HomePod Software 26.3 Now Available for All Users

Apple’s next wave of Home products: what to expect and when

Apple has released HomePod Software 26.3, ending the 26.3 beta cycle for HomePod and HomePod mini. A release candidate went out earlier, and the public build is now available to everyone.

This update follows HomePod Software 26.2 and lines up with the wider 26.3 wave across Apple’s platforms.

If you track build numbers, HomePod Software 26.3 is build 23K620. The next step is the 26.4 beta cycle, which should begin soon.

How to update HomePod Software 26.3

HomePod updates often install automatically, but you can force the update from the Home app.

  • Open the Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac
  • Tap the More button
  • Tap Home Settings
  • Tap Software Update
  • Choose Update (or Update All) if 26.3 appears

Tip: Keep your iPhone or iPad on the same Wi-Fi network as your HomePod, and leave the HomePod plugged in during the update.

Changes in HomePod Software 26.3

Apple’s notes for 26.3 are short. The focus is on polish, not new features.

HomePod Software 26.3 mainly targets reliability, with performance and stability fixes across the system.

These point releases often ship without a long list of visible changes. If you notice anything new after updating, it is worth checking whether it is tied to your Home setup, AirPlay behavior, or Siri responses rather than a headline feature.

If you have updated to HomePod Software 26.3 (23K620), let us know in the comments what changed for you, and whether it fixed any bugs you were seeing.
