Apple is moving through the iOS 26.4 beta cycle, and the company has now pushed out iOS 26.4 beta 3 for iPhone developers on March 2, 2026.
This build follows iOS 26.4 beta 2 (build 23E5218e) from February 23, and beta 3 continues Apple’s usual pattern of small feature tweaks, bug fixes, and performance work as the public release gets closer.
How to update
If your iPhone is already enrolled in the developer beta:
- Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Software Update
- Tap Beta Updates
- Select iOS 26 Developer Beta
- Go back, then tap Update Now or Update Tonight
Before you install, back up your iPhone, keep at least 50% battery (or plug in), and expect a longer first boot while iOS finishes background setup.
Changes in iOS 26.4 beta 3
Apple has not posted a full public changelog for beta 3 yet, but iOS 26.4 as a whole is already shaping up as a feature-heavy update, and beta 3 is where Apple usually tightens the screws and refines what shipped in beta 1 and beta 2.
Here are the bigger iOS 26.4 changes already in testing that beta 3 continues to build on:
- Apple Music updates, including redesigned album and playlist pages, plus an AI playlist feature that generates playlists from prompts.
- RCS end-to-end encryption testing, aimed at bringing stronger message privacy across more conversations as the feature matures.
- Apple Podcasts video support, so video podcast episodes integrate directly into the Podcasts app experience.
- More practical system upgrades, like per-device Personal Hotspot data usage visibility, plus smaller quality-of-life improvements across built-in apps.
If you install beta 3, the changes you notice most often come down to stability, battery tuning, and UI polish, and the fastest way to spot anything new is to scan Settings for new toggles, then check the updated screens inside Music, Messages, and Podcasts.
That’s the latest iOS 26.4 beta 3 drop for iPhone, and if you spot a new feature, a fix, or a fresh bug, let us know in the comments.
