iOS 27 Beta 3 Lets Siri AI Access Data From Supported Third Party Apps

Apple has added another useful feature in iOS 27 beta 3, as Siri AI can now access information from supported third party apps after getting the user’s permission. The new capability expands what Siri can do by allowing it to retrieve live data from compatible apps instead of relying only on Apple’s own services.

The first examples focus on electric vehicle apps, where Siri can check the remaining battery level of a connected car. When a user asks for the battery status, Siri requests permission to access the app before showing the information. This helps users get important details without opening the app manually.

According to Max Weinbach and Alex in Colorado, the feature works with Tesla vehicles through the Tessie app. However, the same request does not currently work with Tesla’s official app, suggesting that support depends on how developers have implemented Siri integration.

Fernando Silva also tested the feature with his own electric vehicle but could not get it working, showing that compatibility is still limited in the current beta.

Jace Craft-Miller also confirmed that Siri can access battery information through the Ford app, adding another supported example as developers continue testing the latest beta.

Apple has not shared a complete list of supported third party apps yet, so more compatible apps will likely appear as developers continue exploring iOS 27 beta 3. As testing continues, users can expect to discover more ways Siri AI interacts with apps beyond electric vehicle information.
