iOS 27 Beta 5 Expands Siri AI Voice Customization to More Voices

Apple has expanded Siri AI voice customization in the fifth beta of iOS 27, giving users more control over how Siri sounds across a wider selection of American and British voices.

Users can now adjust Pace and Expressivity for seven American voices and four British voices, while earlier versions limited these controls to only two American options. Pace changes how quickly Siri speaks, while Expressivity adjusts emphasis and delivery to make responses sound more natural.

Siri AI Voice Customization Requires Newer Hardware

Apple processes these voice adjustments directly on the device, so the feature requires newer hardware with enough processing power and memory.

On iPhone, Siri AI voice customization works with the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air. Apple also supports Macs with an M3 chip or newer and at least 12GB of RAM, along with the M4 iPad Pro and newer models that include at least 12GB of RAM.
