iOS 27 Upgrades Apple Music With AI-Powered AutoMix and More

Apple Music and Ritter Sport launch album cover chocolate bars in Germany

Apple has announced several new Apple Music features coming with iOS 27, bringing a refreshed design, smarter music transitions, expanded lyrics tools, and deeper Siri AI integration. The update also focuses on improving speed and reliability, making the overall listening experience feel smoother across Apple devices.

One of the most noticeable changes in iOS 27 is the redesigned artist page. Apple has added a larger and more prominent Shuffle Play button, updated the way artist names appear, and adjusted the overall layout to make navigation easier.

Apple has also updated album pages, although the visual changes appear more subtle in the first iOS 27 developer beta.

AutoMix Gets More Natural Song Transitions

Apple is upgrading its AI-powered AutoMix feature with improved algorithms that create new transition styles between songs. The feature analyzes factors such as tempo and musical key to deliver smoother song-to-song playback.

Users who prefer manual control can continue using the standard Crossfade option.

Apple Music is expanding Lyrics Translation support with seven new language pairings, including English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Spanish, and Japanese combinations.

At the same time, Lyrics Pronunciation is gaining additional language support, helping listeners sing along even when songs use unfamiliar languages and writing systems.

Faster Streaming and Better Apple TV Audio

Apple says iOS 27 improves Apple Music streaming reliability while also reducing loading times for the Now Playing screen and speeding up playback when users launch the app.

The update also brings Hi-Res Lossless Audio support to Apple TV 4K through tvOS, allowing subscribers with compatible audio equipment to enjoy studio-quality sound.

Apple Music now works more closely with Siri AI in iOS 27. Users can ask Siri about an artist and continue the conversation with follow-up requests such as playing one of the artist’s latest singles without repeating names or restarting the command.

These improvements make Apple Music more responsive, easier to navigate, and better equipped for personalized listening experiences across Apple’s ecosystem.
