Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, has appeared on Geekbench 7 ahead of its October 23 release, revealing performance remarkably close to the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The early results suggest Apple’s new foldable delivers flagship-level processing power despite its thinner design and dual-display setup.

The benchmark identifies the device as iPhone19,4, running iOS 27.1 with Apple’s 2nm A20 Pro processor and 12GB of RAM.

iPhone Duo Geekbench Scores Compared to iPhone 18 Pro

The iPhone Duo recorded 3,986 points in single-core and 11,067 points in multi-core performance, placing it within reach of Apple’s latest Pro models.

Geekbench 7 results. The Duo score represents one early test, while the comparison figures are medians or averages from multiple runs.

Although the Duo trails the iPhone 18 Pro slightly, the difference falls within normal benchmark variation. As we previously covered, both devices share the A20 Pro chip, although the foldable includes a dedicated display engine for operating two screens simultaneously.

A20 Pro Specifications and Performance Improvements

The benchmark also confirms several hardware details:

  • Processor: 2nm A20 Pro with six CPU cores.
  • Clock speed: Up to 4.93GHz.
  • Graphics: Seven-core GPU.
  • Memory: Approximately 12GB RAM.
  • Software: iOS 27.1.

Apple claims the A20 Pro delivers up to 20% faster CPU performance and 40% faster graphics than the A19 Pro. However, the newly surfaced CPU benchmark cannot confirm GPU performance or sustained speeds under heavy workloads.

The Duo’s cooling system will also influence how consistently it performs during gaming and multitasking.

As previously reported, iPhone Duo pre-orders opened October 16, with availability beginning October 23. The foldable starts at $1,999 in the United States.
