IShowSpeed stars in a new Beats short film that mixes martial arts, humor, and a clear message about stability. The nearly five-minute video shows the popular YouTuber going head-to-head with a kung fu master while wearing Powerbeats Pro 2.
The film opens with Darren Watkins Jr., known online as IShowSpeed, training on a BOB dummy during a livestream. A viewer named “ZenAF8” mocks his technique, pushing him to prove a simple idea: “Without stability, speed is nothing.” That line becomes the backbone of the story.
Soon after, IShowSpeed travels across the world to train under a kung fu master. The master presents him with Powerbeats Pro 2 and puts him through intense, classic training routines. Step by step, the focus shifts from raw speed to balance, control, and fit. The flexible ear hooks play a central role, staying locked in place through every movement.
Apple’s Beats brand positions the earbuds as “the most stable earbuds on earth” in this campaign.
The kung fu master is played by Paco Yick, a longtime member of Jackie Chan’s stunt team, which adds credibility to the martial arts theme. By the end, IShowSpeed finds his own way to win, blending speed with stability.
The film premiered via a livestream, where IShowSpeed also gave away five “Master of Speed & Stability” kits with custom Powerbeats Pro 2 and posters.
Love how Speed turned chaos into discipline 😂 This ad isn’t just hype—it actually shows that speed without control gets you nowhere. Also, those Powerbeats really do look like they can survive a kung fu round with him!
