Siri AI will arrive as one of the biggest upgrades in iOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, and Apple’s other major software updates this fall, but the new assistant will only work on newer Apple hardware with enough processing power for advanced AI features.
Apple currently supports Siri AI across selected iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro models, while older devices will continue using the existing Siri experience.

iPad
- iPad Pro with M1 chip or later

Mac
- Every Mac with Apple silicon, including M1 and later chips

Apple Watch
Siri AI will work on supported Apple Watch models when users pair them with a compatible iPhone.

Apple Vision Pro
- All Apple Vision Pro models
Some advanced Siri AI features will require even newer hardware, including full voice pace and expressivity controls. Apple limits these options to the iPhone 17 Pro lineup, iPhone Air, selected M4 iPads, newer Macs with at least 12GB of unified memory, and the M5 Apple Vision Pro.
Apple also reserves its most powerful on-device AI model for similar hardware, although the company has not explained how much this restriction will affect everyday Siri use.
