Spotify’s 20th Anniversary Update Lets Users Revisit Years of Streaming History

Spotify has introduced a new feature called Party of the Year(s), and it gives users a much deeper look at their listening history than Spotify Wrapped. Instead of focusing on the last 12 months, the feature shows your streaming activity from the day you first joined Spotify, including your earliest streamed song, your most-played artists, and a playlist filled with your top tracks over the years.

The feature arrives as Spotify celebrates its 20th anniversary, although the platform officially launched 18 years ago and reached the US market 15 years ago. With Party of the Year(s), Spotify is turning that milestone into a personal throwback experience for longtime users who want to revisit how their music taste has changed over time.

The experience shows the exact date you started using Spotify, the total number of unique songs you have streamed, your first-ever streamed song, and the artists you listened to the most throughout your history on the platform. Spotify also creates a personalized playlist featuring your top 120 songs from across the years, which makes the feature feel much bigger than a regular Wrapped summary.

Spotify has also added several editor-curated playlists as part of the anniversary celebration, including collections like First Person Pop, Ladies First, and 20 Years of Latin Hits.

You can access Party of the Year(s) by visiting Spotify’s anniversary page on your iPhone or by scanning Spotify’s QR code inside the app experience.
