tvOS 26.3 Now Available for Apple TV

tvOS 26.3 public beta 1 rolls out with fixes and stability updates

Apple has released tvOS 26.3, bringing the 26.3 beta cycle to a close. The Release Candidate arrived a few days earlier as tvOS 26.3 RC (23K619), and the final public build now ships as tvOS 26.3 (23K620).

This update targets Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K (all models). It also lands on the same day as the broader 26.3 wave across Apple’s platforms, with the next expected step being the start of tvOS 26.4 betas.

How to update tvOS 26.3

  • Open Settings on your Apple TV
  • Go to System
  • Select Software Updates
  • Choose Update Software and follow the prompts

If you have automatic updates turned on, Apple TV installs tvOS 26.3 on its own when it becomes available for your device.

Changes in tvOS 26.3

Apple positions tvOS 26.3 as a maintenance release focused on day-to-day reliability, with performance and stability improvements rather than headline features.

tvOS 26.3 also includes a set of security fixes. Apple’s security notes list patches across several areas, including:

  • Bluetooth: improved validation against crafted packets
  • CoreAudio and CoreMedia: tighter bounds checking and memory handling for malicious files
  • CoreServices and Sandbox: fixes that address privilege and containment risks
  • WebKit: improved memory handling to prevent crashes from crafted web content

If you have installed earlier 26.3 betas or the RC, the public release still matters because it carries the final build number and the complete public rollout package.

That’s the tvOS 26.3 update. If you spot any visible changes on your Apple TV after installing it, let us know in the comments.
