watchOS 26.4 Beta 1 Now Available for Developers

Apple has started the watchOS 26.4 beta cycle with beta 1 now available for developers. The new build arrives a few days after watchOS 26.3 rolled out to the public, which wrapped up the previous update track.

This first developer beta of watchOS 26.4 carries build number 23T5209m. The current public release, watchOS 26.3, is 23S620.

As usual with early point releases, this is the stage where Apple starts ironing out bugs and tuning performance. It also sets the groundwork for any late-cycle feature additions that land closer to the final release.

How to update

  • Install the latest developer beta on your paired iPhone first, since the Watch app controls the update flow.
  • Keep your Apple Watch on its charger and connected to Wi Fi.
  • On iPhone, open the Watch app.
  • Go to General > Software Update.
  • Tap Download and Install, then follow the prompts.

Apple has published the beta build, but early reports have not highlighted any major user-facing additions yet. Some coverage expects small refinements and routine fixes at this point in the cycle.

We will report back if we spot notable updates, including anything tied to Siri and Apple Intelligence features as testing continues.
