Xcode 26.3 Release Candidate 2 Now Available for Developers

Apple Brings Agentic Coding to Xcode 26.3 With Claude and Codex

Apple has released Xcode 26.3 Release Candidate 2 today, continuing its work on the update before the final public rollout. The new build keeps the focus on agentic coding capabilities, which allow Xcode to integrate directly with AI-powered coding tools and improve how developers write and manage code inside the app.

Earlier this month, Apple confirmed that Xcode 26.3 would support native integration with tools such as Anthropic’s Claude Agent and OpenAI’s Codex, giving developers more advanced assistance inside their workflow. Apple shipped Release Candidate 1 alongside the RC builds of iOS 26.3 and macOS 26.3, yet when those systems launched on February 11, Xcode 26.3 did not move to a final release.

According to Apple, the second Release Candidate signals that the company is refining the update further before pushing it live for all developers. While Apple has not detailed the differences between RC 1 and RC 2, the extra build suggests final adjustments are underway, even as Xcode 26.4 beta testing has already started.
