The update also updated the built-in fitness feature to make it easer to set the accelerometer for walking or running, and fixed several bugs.

The update brings the 6th generation iPod nano’s interface inline with the 7th generation model Apple introduced during its special media event in Cupertino on Tuesday. The new nano includes the same large icon navigation, the multiple clock faces, and built-in fitness tracking features that don’t require attachments to track user activity.

Apple’s 7th generation iPod nano is available in an 8GB capacity for US$129 and a 16GB capacity for $149.

The 6th generation iPod nano software update is free and available through the iTunes application on Mac or Windows computers.
