Skype for iOS adds Microsoft Messenger Support

Skype released Skype 4.2 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on Wednesday. The new version of the text, voice and video chat app added support for Microsoft's Messenger, Hotmail and Outlook.com contacts.

Version 4.2 also added the ability to edit and delete instant messages, create new accounts in the app, show animated emoticons on Retina Display devices, display emoticons while composing messages, and fixed several bugs.

Skype for iPad and iPhone is free and is available at Apple's iTunes-based App Store.
