To enable shapes for in-app buttons, do this:

  • Tap Settings
  • Tap General
  • Choose Accessibility
  • Tap the toggle next to Button Shapes

Now, instead of seeing just words, or words with left angle brackets, you'll see button shapes that work as great visual cues to know where to tap to make things happen. You know, just like every button before iOS 7.

You'll need to update to iOS 7.1 before you can use the Button Shapes setting. The update is a free download by launching the Settings app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and choosing General > Software update.
