The research firm noted that the Android and iPhone application stores “have significantly influenced this growth”: more than half of traffic requests from both platforms in March came from applications. Looking at growth since the launch of the Android Market last November, AdMob said Android requests were up an average of 47 percent per month, compared to an average of 88 percent per month during the five months after the App Store opened its doors in July 2008.
