watchOS 26.2 public beta 3 is now available, here is everything new

watchOS 26.2 beta now available for developers

Apple released watchOS 26.2 beta 3 for developers yesterday, and now the same build is rolling out as public beta 3 for Apple Watch users. The update continues Apple’s 26.2 cycle across iOS, iPadOS, macOS Tahoe, tvOS, and visionOS, all moving toward a wider release later this year.

This public beta uses the same build number as the latest developer version, so both groups now test identical software. It focuses on polishing existing watchOS 26 features, improving stability, and tightening performance.

How to update to watchOS 26.2 public beta 3

If you are in the Apple Beta Software Program and already run watchOS 26, you can update in a few quick steps:

  • On your paired iPhone, open the Watch app.
  • Go to General > Software Update.
  • Make sure Beta Updates is set to watchOS 26 Public Beta.
  • Keep your watch on the charger with at least 50 percent battery, then tap Download and Install.

watchOS 26.2 beta 3 changes and general 26.2 updates

The standout change in watchOS 26.2 is an updated Sleep Score range that better reflects how you feel after a night’s rest.

Beyond that, this beta focuses on bug fixes, better health and fitness reliability, and small improvements that support larger 26.2 features such as Live Translation and other tweaks coming alongside iOS 26.2 and its companion updates.

If you install watchOS 26.2 public beta 3 on your main Apple Watch, expect some glitches since it is still test software. Tried it already? Let us know in the comments.
