watchOS 26.2 beta now available for developers

Apple has released watchOS 26.2 beta 3 to developers, one week after beta 2. The new build continues the testing cycle ahead of the final watchOS 26.2 release and arrives alongside other 26.2 platform betas for iPhone, iPad, Mac, TV, and Vision Pro.

watchOS 26.2 builds on watchOS 26.1 with bug fixes, performance tuning, and support for features introduced across the wider 26.2 updates. The update focuses on stability rather than major watch-only features.

How to install watchOS 26.2 beta 3

To install the developer beta, you need a free Apple developer account. On your paired iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates, then select the watchOS developer channel. Then open the Watch app, go to General > Software Update, and download watchOS 26.2 beta 3. Keep your Apple Watch on Wi-Fi, at least 50 percent charged, and on its charger.

What is new in watchOS 26.2

Beta 3 focuses on stability fixes, performance improvements, and possible battery refinements, which are common for later watchOS betas.

In the wider 26.2 cycle, Apple is adjusting sleep metrics to match the revised Sleep Score thresholds on iPhone and improving connection with updated Apple News and Apple Podcasts experiences, even if most of that work stays behind the scenes on Apple Watch.
