Halfbrick is bringing its popular Jetpack Joyride franchise to a brand new genre. The game developer just launched Jetpack Joyride Racing on the iOS App Store. This fresh entry lets you step away from endless running and jump straight into high-speed multiplayer competitions.
The game is completely free to download and brings a familiar cast of classic characters directly to the starting line.
You can race against six real players in competitive multiplayer
Jetpack Joyride Racing lets you drift and boost your way through four unique circuits. You can play as classic characters like Barry Steakfries, Dan, Josie, or Professor Brains. The title relies on a zone system that actively changes how you navigate the track on the fly.
Green zones speed you up, purple zones drag you down, and red zones cut your engine entirely. You have to master drifting around tight corners and collecting items to gain a real advantage over your opponents. The intuitive touch controls are very easy to pick up, but winning consistently takes practice.
The application also features an integrated Discord voice chat feature so you can talk to competitors during the action. If you prefer working together instead of fighting for first place, you can team up with friends using the built-in Party Mode.
You collect unique cards to unlock ships and cosmetic upgrades
As you complete races and move through the seasonal progression system, you earn valuable collectible cards. You use these cards to unlock new racing ships, extra characters, and visual upgrades to show off your style on the track.
