Apple Prepares Four Color Variants for the Upcoming iPhone 18 Pro

iPhone 18 Pro colors leaked

Supply chain leaks just gave us an exciting early look at the exact color options planned for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. According to a report by Macworld (via MacRumors), Apple is currently testing four distinct shades for its premium smartphones arriving later this year. The biggest surprise is a brand new signature hue that trades last year’s bright orange for a much deeper, wine-inspired finish.

The dark cherry finish brings a classy wine shade to buyers

Apple always introduces a special signature color for its high-end models to help them stand out from the pack. This year, it plans to release a shade officially called Dark Cherry. This unique option acts as a direct replacement for the vibrant Cosmic Orange seen on the previous generation.

Instead of a bright, punchy red, Dark Cherry looks much closer to a deep glass of wine. It offers a muted, elegant finish that easily separates the newest phones from older models when you hold them in the light.

According to the latest leaks, here are the four specific paint options currently in development:

  • Light Blue (Pantone 2121), resembling the current iPhone 17’s Mist Blue
  • Dark Cherry (Pantone 6076), the headline new color
  • Dark Gray (Pantone 426C)
  • Silver (Pantone 427C), similar to the current generation

Because the phones are still in the early hardware testing phase, the tech giant could drop any of these options before mass production kicks off.

The upcoming folding model sticks to simple silver and indigo finishes

Beyond the standard Pro models, new factory leaks also shed light on the highly anticipated foldable iPhone. Rumored to launch under the Ultra name, this expensive new device unfolds to look exactly like a small tablet.

Unlike the main lineup, the foldable model will likely skip the wide variety of fun colors. Apple plans to offer it in a classic Silver and a dark Indigo option to keep the overall design looking incredibly simple.

Factory drawings show the folding phone measuring just 4.7 millimeters thick when fully opened. It will feature two rear cameras and multiple selfie lenses scattered across its inner and outer screens. Shoppers should expect to see all of these devices officially announced this coming September.
