watchOS 26.5 Developer Beta 4 Now Available for Apple Watch

Apple has now released watchOS 26.5 beta 1 for developers

Apple has released watchOS 26.5 developer beta 4, just one week after beta 3, as testing speeds up ahead of the expected public rollout in the coming weeks. This latest build appears to focus mainly on bug fixes, performance improvements, and final refinements rather than major new features, which is typical as Apple moves closer to release.

Developers can install it now to test stability, app compatibility, and system polish across supported Apple Watch models. The broader watchOS 26.5 update is also expected to include the new Pride Luminance watch face and wallpaper set alongside smaller system enhancements.

How to update watchOS 26.5 developer beta 4

If your Apple Watch is already enrolled in the developer beta program:

  1. Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone
  2. Go to General
  3. Tap Software Update
  4. Select Beta Updates if needed
  5. Download and install watchOS 26.5 Developer Beta 4

Make sure your Apple Watch has at least 50% battery, is connected to Wi-Fi, and placed on its charger during installation.

watchOS 26.5 beta 4 does not appear to introduce major visible changes so far, but Apple is continuing to fine-tune system performance, battery efficiency, bug fixes, and prepare features expected in the final release. Current testing points to under-the-hood improvements, with the Pride Luminance watch face remaining one of the more notable additions expected with the public version. As always with later beta cycles, stability is likely the main priority.
