Adobe Adds AI Object Rotation To Photoshop And Better Search To Lightroom

Adobe AI Rotation

People who edit photos for a living or just for fun have some new tools to play with. Adobe just rolled out a fresh update for its two biggest editing programs. The latest version of Photoshop now uses artificial intelligence to help you spin and rotate objects in a picture without messing up the background.

At the same time, the company updated Lightroom to include some fresh photo presets and a much smarter search bar to help you find your old pictures faster.

Photoshop uses new artificial intelligence to rotate objects in pictures

The standout feature in this update focuses on how you move things around in a photo. In the past, turning a car or a person in a picture meant you had to manually rebuild the background behind them. That took a lot of time and patience.

Now, the software does the heavy lifting for you. You can select an item and rotate it however you want. The built-in artificial intelligence immediately fills in the blank spaces left behind. It basically guesses what the background should look like and draws it in so the final image looks natural.

Lightroom adds smart search tools and fresh photo color presets

While Photoshop handles the heavy edits, the new Lightroom update makes organizing your catalog much easier. The company completely rebuilt its search tool. You can now type normal phrases to find specific photos instead of relying on exact tags or dates. If you type a simple phrase like a red car on a sunny day, the app will instantly scan your library and pull up matching shots.

Beyond the search upgrade, the update also brings a batch of new presets to the table. These one-click filters allow you to quickly change the mood of a photo. You can download all of these features right now through the main Adobe application manager.
