Created by Elizabeth Meriwether, Furious follows FBI agent Alice Black as she investigates a woman who kills wealthy men connected to abuse and trafficking. The first three episodes introduced Catherine as the killer and revealed that her victims shared links to Isabel Luna, a young woman from Catherine’s past.
Alice and Danny uncover Catherine’s identity
Episode 4 begins after Alice’s disturbing confrontation with her abusive former partner, Marshall. Still shaken, Alice struggles to sleep and turns to self-destructive behaviour before joining Nora Washington for an unofficial search around Hunts Point.
Their search for information about Isabel produces little progress, but Alice later suggests checking unidentified bodies found in 2012. Nora discovers a Jane Doe file matching Isabel’s description, including the hospital bracelet visible in an old photograph. However, Nora hides the discovery because she closed the case years earlier with her former superior, Ed George.
Alice and Danny then question Emma Easton, whose father and brother appear connected to Isabel. Emma refuses to discuss the photograph showing Isabel with her father, leading Alice and Danny to visit Isabel’s former foster home.
There, they learn that Isabel had a close friend named Catherine Grace. An old photograph confirms that Catherine is the woman seen in security footage and the person behind the staged overdose deaths. Alice finally has the killer’s real name and a direct connection between Catherine, Isabel and the Easton family.
Catherine kidnaps Hal
Meanwhile, Catherine assumes another identity and begins dating Blanchard, the son of Hal, Emma Easton’s lawyer. When Hal arrives, he immediately recognises Catherine and warns that her actions will get her killed.
Catherine responds by injecting him with a sedative and placing him inside a van. She later returns to Alden, who tells her that he loves her and asks her to become his girlfriend. Catherine accepts, briefly showing a softer side before the episode reveals that Hal remains alive inside the vehicle.
The ending leaves Alice with Catherine’s identity but no official support, as Nora removes her from the investigation to protect the secrets surrounding Isabel’s old case. Catherine now holds a living witness who could expose the entire trafficking network.
What do you think Catherine plans to do with Hal, and will Alice continue investigating without Nora’s approval? Let us know in the comments.
