Reacher continues trying to understand why Anna died and what information she was protecting. The missing flash drive remains at the center of the case, with several groups searching for it and leaving a growing trail of bodies behind them.

Reacher questions Sampson while Tamara takes a more dangerous route and breaks into a government facility connected to Anna. The investigation eventually uncovers an important detail: the missing drive appears to contain the only surviving copy of information that powerful people desperately want destroyed.

The episode also delivers another large Reacher fight when armed operatives corner him at a warehouse. Reacher handles the attackers in his usual brutal fashion, but the encounter makes it increasingly clear that the people behind the conspiracy have resources, trained personnel, and enough influence to keep coming after him.

What happened to Ben Merrick?

Jacob receives devastating news about Anna’s son, Ben Merrick. Evidence surrounding Ben’s death points toward a curved karambit knife, which gives the episode its title and introduces another clue linking the killings to Southeast Asia.

That connection also brings Lila Hoth back into focus. Reacher has grown closer to Lila, but her story has already changed several times. Episode 4 adds more reasons to question what she knows and why she became involved with Anna’s case.

A bloody incident at Lila’s motel makes those doubts even harder to ignore, especially when investigators find injuries consistent with the same type of curved blade connected to Ben’s death. The mystery now stretches well beyond one missing government file.

Where Season 4 is heading

Season 3 ended with Reacher defeating Paulie and finally killing Quinn before leaving once again to continue life on the road. Season 4 gives him a separate case, beginning with Anna’s suicide and quickly expanding into political influence, government secrets, hired killers, and the missing flash drive.

Episode 5, titled “Bridge,” arrives on August 26. Reacher’s situation will become even worse as he finds himself hunted by Philadelphia police while old and new enemies close in.

Reacher Season 4 is streaming weekly on Prime Video. What do you think is really stored on Anna’s flash drive, and who do you trust after Episode 4? Let us know in the comments.
