Apple just unveiled its brand-new live concert venue in London, and music legend Elton John is set to perform there first. On September 22, the company announced the grand opening of Apple Music Hall, a modern live music space located inside the famous Battersea Power Station right beside the River Thames. Elton John will officially launch the unique location with a special performance on September 28.
The new location blends historic architecture with intimate live shows
The design of the new room takes direct inspiration from the original Battersea Power Station. Visitors will notice heritage brickwork, fluted arches, and bronze balconies that look like the building’s historic oriel windows. A massive glass wall connects the indoor space with the outside, offering fans a wide view of the historic concourse and the river.
Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music and International Content, shared that the room is built to bring fans and artists closer together. He explained that it will host custom, intimate concerts that offer a very different feel from standard arenas, giving people a memorable live music experience right on the water.

After Elton John takes the stage, a packed lineup of familiar names will keep the momentum going through the end of the year. The current schedule features Baby Keen on October 2, Skye Newman on October 7, and Troye Sivan on October 13. Later in the season, the venue will host Arlo Parks on October 22, Burma Boy on October 29, Chase & Status on November 26, and Charli XCX on December 2.
This steady stream of top-tier talent shows that the brand is serious about making this location a major destination for live entertainment. With its striking design and prime spot on the Thames, the hall is quickly shaping up to be a standout addition to the London music scene.
