Over a decade after its initial rollout, Apple Music is finally reaching more listeners across the globe. Listeners in four new regions can now access the popular streaming platform to hear their favorite tracks and albums. While Apple typically pushes its digital services to as many global markets as possible, some regions take much longer to receive support. This recent update expands the platform’s footprint, continuing a string of recent additions for the audio service.
Four new regions gain access after an eleven year wait
The streaming service is now officially live for users in Albania, Brunei, Burkina Faso, and Pakistan. This change comes 11 years after the platform originally debuted in over 100 countries during June 2015.
A user on X, @Aaronp613, first noticed the update. A quick look at the official Media Services page then confirmed the addition of these four nations.

This expansion follows a busy few weeks for the tech giant. The company recently started testing countdown clocks for upcoming album releases on Apple Music and opened a physical location in London. It also recently launched a mobile payment option in India.
The audio platform offers vast libraries and personalized listening choices
For those new to the platform, it is a subscription based music streaming application built directly into modern smart devices. Users get on-demand access to millions of songs, curated playlists, and live radio stations.
The platform allows listeners to save music directly to their phones for offline playback. It also provides high quality audio formats for a better listening session without needing an internet connection.
Listeners can discover new artists through personalized recommendations based on their listening history. The app syncs across all Apple products, letting you start a playlist on your phone and finish it on your computer.
With these new regions online, the platform continues to close the gap in global availability. More people can now hit play on their favorite albums, pushing the service closer to total worldwide coverage.
