#Love Season 2 Renewal Status: Will Tara and Matthew Return After Netflix’s New Tamil Romance?

Netflix has not announced a second season of #Love as of October 3, 2026. Tara and Matthew’s story could continue, but there is no confirmed renewal, production timetable or Season 2 release date. The only episodes currently listed on Netflix are the six that make up the first season.

That distinction matters because the new Tamil romance only premiered on October 2. A finale that leaves room for more is not itself a commission for more episodes. For now, the safest answer to whether Tara and Matthew will return is that Netflix and the creative team have not publicly committed to it.

  • Series: #Love
  • Season 1: Six episodes
  • Genre: Tamil romance
  • Streaming on: Netflix
  • Season 2 status: Unconfirmed

The first season gives the relationship a clear premise

Tara and Matthew enter the story with rival ideas about how people find partners. Tara’s dating app, FOUND, is built around compatibility. Matthew’s Find My Bae argues for chemistry. Netflix’s announcement introduces them as competing founders who end up testing their own theories through a 60-day challenge.

Aishwarya Lekshmi plays Tara, while Arjun Das plays Matthew. Their disagreement is both professional and personal: the bet could affect Tara’s business, but the experiment also forces each to confront what the other understands about attraction. That setup offers a natural reason to follow the pair beyond the challenge, if another season is ordered.

An open door is not a renewal announcement

Netflix’s episode listing describes the finale as a moment when Tara and Matthew gain clarity as their challenge ends. It does not describe a new season or promise that their story will continue. Nor does a first-season label on a streaming page establish that a second season is planned. Those labels are often simply how a platform organizes a completed run.

The platform’s September launch announcement names the people behind the series: director Balaji Mohan and showrunner-producer Soundarya Rajinikanth. It promotes the October premiere and the central wager, but does not include a follow-up order. A genuine renewal would need a statement from Netflix or the production team, not an inference from the romance’s possibilities.

What a return would have to answer

If #Love comes back, the strongest continuation would test whether Tara and Matthew can live with the lessons of their experiment after the countdown ends. The apps put a commercial frame around their feelings. A second chapter could ask whether those theories still hold when the stakes are an actual relationship, not a competitive demonstration.

That is a story possibility, not a reported plot. There is no announced cast return or episode count to attach to it. We will update this status if Netflix makes a formal decision.
