If you talk to Anthropic using the audio tools inside Claude, you might see a new message asking for a favor. The company is now giving people the choice to share their voice chats to help train future artificial intelligence models. This new request pops up on your screen when you try to use the voice feature, giving you a very clear choice about your audio data.
Users can choose whether to share their audio recordings
The new message asks you straight up to let the company use your voice data to improve its models. It explains that audio recordings and voice chats help the AI better understand and reply to spoken words.
This feature is completely optional. You can easily click a button to say no if you prefer to keep your talks private. The setting stays turned off by default, which means the company will not grab your audio unless you give clear permission first.

Voice sharing stays separate from normal text chat settings
If you do decide to share your audio, you will find a new switch in the privacy settings menu. This control is separate from the options for your regular text chats or coding sessions. You can choose to share your spoken talks while keeping your written text completely private, or do the other way around.
People who say yes also have the freedom to change their minds later. You can turn the voice sharing switch off at any time. The privacy menu even has an option to delete your past voice data if you decide you no longer want the company to keep it.
