Black Clover Season 2 Episode 2 is scheduled to air in Japan on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11 p.m. JST. The official series site confirms that second-season episodes continue in that Saturday slot, while Crunchyroll carries the season outside Japan.

The episode should continue the two battles established in ā€œThe Battle Begins.ā€ The Magic Knights have entered the Spade Kingdom to rescue Yami and William, while Asta and Liebe remain with Nacht because their brief Devil Union breakthrough is not yet stable enough for the raid.

The raid must move forward without Asta

The premiere makes Asta’s absence a tactical problem, not a surprise entrance waiting to happen immediately. Nacht’s training proves that Asta and Liebe can reach Union, but only for an instant. Until they can reproduce and sustain it, joining the front line would risk the rescue plan.

That leaves Yuno and the captains responsible for the first stage of the invasion. Their objective is larger than defeating the Dark Triad. They must reach Yami and William before Morris advances the ritual that can open the gates to the underworld.

Asta and Liebe need coordination, not more power

Episode 1 answers whether Asta has the potential for Devil Union. He does. The remaining problem is timing. Asta and Liebe formed their contract as equals, so neither can simply command the other into a perfect transformation. They have to align their movement and intent.

Episode 2 can therefore make progress without sending Asta to the battlefield. Repeating the transformation, extending its duration or learning its limit would each be a meaningful step. Any exact training result remains a preview prediction until the episode airs.

The ritual gives both storylines the same clock

The Spade Kingdom conflict links the training room to the invasion through one deadline. Every delay gives Morris more time, while every battle inside the kingdom can slow the rescue team. Asta’s eventual arrival will matter only if there is still a fight he can change.

The official site has not published an Episode 2 title or synopsis, so claims about a specific opponent or ending would be premature. What is confirmed is the weekly October 10 broadcast and the war already underway. Viewers should also expect regional availability to follow Crunchyroll’s simulcast listing rather than the Japanese television clock. The service has not announced an English dub date, so the October 10 guide applies to the subtitled release. No confirmed hiatus or schedule change has been announced for the second week.
