iPhone Duo appears to include a two-page PDF layout that uses both halves of its inner display. The view makes an opened document look more like a book, with one page on each side of the fold.
Code researcher pdfu shared a video of the feature running in Quick Look on October 6. The clip shows the layout appearing while iPhone Duo is open in its book position, but Apple has not documented the mode publicly.
The finding expands on what Apple has already shown about the foldable phone. Its inner display can run apps side by side, while apps built with newer SDKs can resize as the device opens and closes. Apple has also released an iPhone Duo simulator for developers to test those layouts.

A better fit for long documents
Showing two pages at once could make reports, manuals and books easier to scan than on a conventional iPhone screen. It also gives users a clear visual cue about where they are in a document without forcing them to move between two separate app windows.
The video does not establish whether the layout will work in every PDF app or only in Apple’s Quick Look viewer. It also does not show controls for switching between single-page and two-page presentation, so those details remain unconfirmed.
Apple says iPhone Duo will arrive with iOS 27.1 on October 23. Because this preview comes from an unofficial demonstration, the final interface could still differ on shipping hardware.
Apple has not said whether page-turn animations, annotations or external-display behavior will differ in this view. Those details will need verification on retail hardware.
