Apple is reportedly planning a second product launch later this month, with new touchscreen MacBook Pro models, an OLED iPad mini, and M6-powered Macs expected to arrive on or around October 27.
Bloomberg reports that Apple will hold an online presentation alongside an in-person press component, with the event focused largely on creative professionals working in video production, photography, and music.
Touchscreen MacBook Pro could headline the event
The biggest announcement is expected to be Apple’s first touchscreen MacBook Pro, marking a major change for the Mac lineup after years of keeping touch controls limited to the iPhone and iPad.

The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to include:
- OLED displays with improved contrast and image quality.
- Touchscreen support across both screen sizes.
- A Dynamic Island-style interface built into the display.
- A lighter design compared with current MacBook Pro models.
- M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, according to earlier reports.
The new MacBook Pro models carry the internal code names K114 and K116.
OLED iPad mini and new M6 Macs also expected
Apple is also preparing a new iPad mini with several hardware changes, including an OLED display, a FaceTime camera moved to the landscape edge, and a redesigned speaker system.
The iPad mini carries the internal code name J510 and would become the latest Apple tablet to move away from LCD technology.
Apple is also expected to announce new versions of the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac powered by the M6 chip. These models reportedly retain designs similar to the current versions.
The reported October 27 launch would follow Apple’s October 13 “Welcome home” event, where the company is expected to introduce new smart home products, including a display-based home hub, a new HomePod mini, and an updated Apple TV.
