Apple TV has set a premiere date for “Prodigies,” a seven-episode romantic comedy starring Will Sharpe and Ayo Edebiri. Apple says the series premieres globally on February 10, 2027 with two episodes, followed by one episode weekly until March 17, 2027.

Apple shared the date alongside a first look at the show on October 9, 2026. Sharpe created the series and also writes, directs and executive produces it, while Edebiri co-stars and executive produces.
What Prodigies is about
“Prodigies” follows Didi (Edebiri) and Ren (Sharpe), two former child prodigies now in their 30s. In Apple’s words, they “reexamine the relationship they’ve been in since they were nine.”

The story moves “from London to Tokyo by way of Virginia.” Apple describes it as an “unconventional take on a romantic comedy” that explores “ideas of potential, ambition and the universal complexities of long-term relationships.”
The hook is the gap between childhood promise and adult reality. As the pair begin to question whether their ordinary lives are living up to what was expected of them as children, Apple says “they find themselves in a new and terrifying kind of chaos.”
