Pluribus Season 2 Is Reportedly Ready to Begin Filming

Apple TV+ Drops Trailer for Pluribus from Breaking Bad Creator

Apple TV’s hit sci-fi series Pluribus is reportedly scheduled to begin filming its second season on October 31, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The update brings Vince Gilligan’s acclaimed drama closer to returning, nearly one year after its first season premiered in November 2025.

According to a Production List report, the series has been in pre-production, with filming planned for late October. Apple has yet to officially confirm that cameras have started rolling.

Pluribus Season 2 Production Is Moving Forward

The reported schedule aligns with Gilligan’s comments in September, when he revealed that filming would begin in late October or early November.

The creator also confirmed that the writing team had mapped out the entire second season, completed the first two scripts, and continued developing the remaining episodes.

Meanwhile, lead actress Rhea Seehorn recently confirmed that she was preparing to return to filming. Speaking at an industry event, she described the first episode’s script as “absolute bananas,” suggesting another unpredictable chapter for Carol Sturka.

Apple originally ordered two seasons of Pluribus before its debut, and the series subsequently became the streaming service’s most-watched show, winning six Emmy Awards in 2026.

When Will Pluribus Season 2 Release on Apple TV?

Apple has not announced an official release date or premiere window for Pluribus Season 2.

As previously reported, a late 2027 premiere remains a possibility based on the expected production timeline, although filming and post-production schedules could push the release further.

The upcoming season will continue Carol’s story as she navigates a world where humanity has become connected through a collective consciousness.

All nine episodes of Pluribus Season 1 are currently available to stream on Apple TV.
